Wedding Flowers

This weeks post is all about your wedding venue flowers and also touching on table decorations. When you go for your initial meeting with your florist you will put together a selection of flowers and foliage which reflect your theme, dress and also the venue. Once your bouquet flowers have been chosen then you can dispersed these flowers throughout the venue to link all your venues together. I’ve broken this blog post down into two sections to make it easier to understand, so let’s get into it.

Ceremony Flowers

Whether you are going for a religious or civil ceremony your flowers will be very similar and will depend on what you are looking for. The chair that face the aisle will typically have flowers attached to the chair. This helps to bring attention to where the aisle is and also adds a lovely pop of colour and softness to this area of the space. You could also line the aisle with petals too, if you have a flower girl she would be doing this job anyway. As the reach the end of the aisle it’s also nice to have something either at the alter or either side of the end of the aisle. The image on the right is a lovely dome of flowers and foliage that really soften and brighten up the room you are getting married in.

trees in church

If you are lucky enough to get married in a building with very high ceiling or a grand cathedral and are looking for a gorgeous way to decorate your ceremony why not look into having trees. I know it sounds really odd but if you take the time to pick out quite sparse trees with maybe some flowers in it then the outcome can be stunning.

Wedding Breakfast

Where ever you decide to have your wedding breakfast flowers will really help to show the theme of your wedding and bring some life and colour to the space. I have put together a collection of different ways you can incorporate flowers and foliage into your table decorations.

The most important rule for your table decorations is they either need to be bellow or above someone eye level. This way you can ensure that everyone can see each other, making conversation easier and allowing everyone to chat to each other. With this in mind you can incorporate flowers however you like.

For low table arrangement bottles, vases and lanterns make for great vessels to hold flowers in or around. You can pick out certain flowers or colours from your bouquet to great a colour scheme through the whole room either making it look unison on each table or adding some difference variations around the room. You will find if you add some foliage (leaves) into your flower arrangements the price will drop as foliage is a lot cheaper than flowers.

If you are wanting more of a statement piece then you can have a much large display of flowers. Tall flower arrangement will normally be held up by a candle stand, or something similar in shape and then had flowers incorporated into it. With a tall flower arrangment your find it will make an amazing impact the moment you walk into the room because they will be around you eye level when you are stand up.

If you are currently choosing your wedding flowers then Pinterest is a great way to gather some inspiration and show your florist what you are looking for. Go take a look at last week blog post all about wedding bouquets as that also part of your wedding flowers. I will cover table decorations in further detail a bit later on so keep an eye out for that. Hope you had a lovely weekend and I will see you very soon.

A Special Little Something

Every now and again it’s nice to treat yourself or someone close to you. I was recently contacted by a company called Empress Mimi, who have a lingerie subscription box service. At first I was unsure whether to try it out but I decided to give it a go and see what there products and service was like. There are three different types of subscription boxes; The Mermaid box (£25),  The Siren Box (£40), and The Empress Box (£70). I was lucky enough to be send The Express Box, which contains a set of lingerie and a few fun pieces too. So here’s what I though of the box and the service.

Whats Inside My Box

So what does this box include. Well you get a lovely piece of lingerie, mine was a black lace with a mesh panelled body and a few other items too. I got an Infinite Love necklace that is dipped in Gold and is so incredible dainty & pretty and finally a lovely black & red sache. When you order the box they ask for your measurements and this body fits perfectly on me!

Delivery & Packaging

I was really surprised at how quickly this package arrived. Within 2 days, a beautifully packaged box arrived at my door step. I love that this package arrives in a pink bag and then you unwrap it you find your gorgeous box. Some boxes come with a ribbon on the front and others come with a magnetic front that you lift up to reveal your treats inside. I love how the box has gold lettering embossed into it. This box will now be sitting on my dressing table as it is too pretty to throw away.

Once you open the box there is a little message on the lid, which I think is such a lovely touch. You then have the content of the box wrapped in pink tissue paper with a sticker and ribbon holding it together. I love it when subscription boxes come wrapped with tissue paper, it makes it feel like a present and makes it even more special.

Attention to Detail

I really like the attention to detail with this box, it’s like they have thought of everything. The message on the lid of the box is just the start to all the little things that really make this box special. Having a piece of ribbon around the tissue paper and a sticker gives these boxes an element of unwrapping your pieces making it feel very special. I also love the fact that they include a little pouch to put your lingerie in when you are storing it in the draw. This means you wont damage your delicate lingerie and always keeps it looking perfect.

I think the quality of this subscription box is great. Firstly the box has been made beautifully and the embossed letters help portray this too. Moving onto the lingerie, I received a box, which is a really good quality. A lot of the body is covered in lace, which is so soft, unlike the cheaper lacy that can be very scratchy on the skin. The buttons are also covered in black fabric, so that they blend into the design. The body fits perfectly and is really comfortable to wear. The necklace is dipped in gold and so pretty.

My overall view

Overall I think this is a great subscriptions or even a one off box for yourself, or your partner. I loved how beautifully package this box came, they had wrapped it up so it felt like you were opening a present and everything has been thought of. I also noticed how prompt and efficient their customer service is, they will certainly take good care of you! Lingerie is usually associated with sexy underwear but maybe its a way of making yourself feel more confident and special. I highly recommend trying something like this out, its important you feel special once in a while.

If you want to take a look at this subscription service have a look as it here. Let me know what you think in the comments below, have you ever bought lingerie to make you feel special?

Have a lovely weekend.

Top 5 Skincare Products

Skincare is on of my favourite areas to blog about as it makes a huge impact on how your skin looks and feels, which in turn affects how we feel. Today I thought I would share with you my top 5 skincare products that I can’t live without and use on a regular basis.

The Body Shop – Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I discovered this product about a year ago and it always seems to amaze me with how it literally melts away my makeup at the end of a long day. I will sometimes go back to using micellar water and immediately regret it because this cleansing butter is very gentle but effective. This product goes onto your skin as a creamy butter texture and then turns milky once you add water. I love that this products comes in a tin, it makes transporting it so easy as its a solid balm that melts with the heat of your fingers. It smells amazing and is so gentle that it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all, which a lot of products do. Due to the oily texture you skin is left feeling really hydrated and super soft, which is so nice. If you do have oily skin use this as a first step in your cleansing routine, with the second part being a cream cleaner.

The Ordinary – Hyaluronic acid 2% + B5

I started using this product at the beginning of this year. My skin always becomes dryer in the winter, and I wanted to see if this product really works. I started by using it every night before bed and within a month my skin overall felt so soft and looked so much healthy. Hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate not just the top layer of skin but the under-layer of your skin too. By getting hydration to these bottom layers of skin you will find your skin will look healthier and stay moisturised for a lot longer. The ordinary is such an affordable skincare brand and their products are amazing, well worth checking out.

Kiehls – Midnight Recovery Concentrate

I use to suffer from a dry patch on my T-zone and this product has managed to completely change my skin. I had heard so many amazing reviews on this product I decided to take a trip to Kiehls and they very kindly gave me a sample to try out at home. I started using this product last year, too see if it could help to prevent my dry patches from getting worse. The results were amazing, with in a few weeks my dry patches hasd all cleared up and my skin felt amazing. This sample lasted at least a month, which was enough time for my skin to be completely transformed. I love using this product at night as it smells so relaxing  and works wonders over night, it’s soon time to purchase it.

La Roche-Posay – Effaclar Duo

This is an amazing product if you suffer from spots or acne. A few weeks ago, a good few spots suddenly decided to appear on my chin out of nowhere. I usually have quite clear skin so I decided to try out this product, as I had received it as one of my samples in a recent feel unique order. I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and have been amazed by how much my skin has cleared up. I have nearly run out of the sample but I am going to purchase one before it runs out as I cant wait to see the end results. A lot of people have said this product has dried out their skin but it didn’t for me.

Boots Essentials – Cucumber 3-minute Clay Mask

When it comes to face masks this has to be my favourite. my skin over the years has turned slightly oily in some areas so using a clay mask is a great way to clear out your pores and minimise unwanted oils in your skin. I love using this face mask once a week as its so gentle whilst at the same time being very effective at detoxing my skin. I love that it smells subtly of cucumbers and doesn’t dry out my skin to the point it feels uncomfortable. One of my favourite things about this product is it’s price, it costs £1.50, which is an absolutely bargain for how effective it is.

So there you go, those are my top 5 skincare products that I have loved using and have seen incredible results. I would love to know what your favourite skincare products are?

Hope you enjoyed!

Unwinding After a Long Day

We all have days when we get home and feel quick stressed or wound up by something that has happened and it ends up affecting your evening, even if you don’t realise it. There are a few things I like to do in the evening that really help me to unwind and relax so I thought I would share them with you.

Lighting a candle

One of the first things I like to do is light a candle. I am currently burning my DW Apple Blossom candle, which make the house smell like autumnal and I love it. If I want a really relaxing evening I tend to go for a lavender candle or Lazy Days by Zoella. There is something so relaxing about having a candle alight and watching the flames dance around. By changing the mood and smell in your home this will in turn affect your mood too.

Watch Some Youtube

I love catching up on a bit of youtube whilst dinner is cooking, it allows me to switch off and just immerse myself in something I love. I love watching beauty hauls and vlogs with my currently favourite youtubers being The Anna Edit and Hello October.

Having a bath or a long hot shower

I find I do most of my thinking when I am having a shower and I love having a long hot shower, when my hair needs washing. I will usually use my favourite body wash which is currently the Nivea Happy Time Orange Shower Cream, which smells of fizzy oranges (sounds weird but smells amazing!) I will usually have a bath at the weekend, when I have more time, and use a Lush bath bomb along with some bath salts. I will either watch something in the bath or just spend time to enjoy being on my own with no distractions.

Switch social media off

I find with being a blogger I am always on social media or getting notifications from at least one source. I think it’s good once in a while to just switch all your social media off, even if it’s just for a few hours. I usually turn my phone on silent and shut the social media tabs on my laptop.

Making the room feel cosy

Making my room feel cosy is one of my favourite things to help me relax and get ready for bed. I usually light a candle, or move the already lit candle from the lounge to the bedroom. We also have a wall of fairy lights behind our bed, so those are always turned on, I find the overhead lights too harsh, you need a softer light. We always make our bed with a grey knitted jumper and faux fur cushions so they help to make the bedroom feel cosy too.

Watch a Movie

I love snuggling in bed with a mug of hot chocolate and watch a movie or my favourite TV series. I am currently obsessed with Lucifer, just about to start series three, on Amazon Prime. Watching something in bed always helps me wind down, not going to lie I do sometimes fall asleep. I love being snuggled in my bed, feeling all cosy.

So there are a few ways I like to unwind after a long week or a stressful day. Let me know what you like to do to help unwind in the evening, I would love to know.

September Favourites

Today I thought I would do my September favourites. I have been trying a few new products recently and have fallen in love with them so this will be a mixture of new finds and items I just currently can’t get enough of.

Rimmel London – Sculpting Pallete by Kate in 002 Coral Glow

So starting with makeup my first favourite has to be the sculpting pallet from Rimmel.  I bought this products about 5 months ago and only really used the blush, but since coming back from holiday I have fallen in love with this bronzer. I love how this bronzer is a matt colour, allowing you to be able to use it as contour. I love using this to define my cheeks and as a lovely way to warm up my face after applying foundation. This product is so easy to blend  and is really buildable too.

Burts Bees Lipstick in 501 Blush Basin

This has been a new find and one I wished I had discovered earlier as I have been using this lipstick literally everyday. I had heard a lot about Burts Bees lipstick and finally decided to take the plunge. I find with my skin tone apricot/pinky nudes suit me better than a brown based nude, and I think this is why I love this lipstick. I find its so comfortable to wear all day and it has a matt finish, which I love during the winter.  This lipstick has a lovely creamy texture and doesn’t have a strong scent to it, which I love. I will definitely be purchasing more of these as there is a large range of colours to choose from.

Boots 3-Minute Clay Mask

This is by far my favourite face mask from a drug store, I got amazing results for just £1.50. I absolutely love this clay mask and use it every week to clear my skin of all the impurities that have built up over the week. Even though this mask is clay based I don’t find it leaves my skin feeling dehydrated and uncomfortable, like other clay masks can. This product has cucumber in it so it’s gentle on your skin and smells really fresh. I also find that my skin can become quite oily but this face mask helps to clear out excess oils. I do sometimes find I will get a spot after using this but you expect that as it is clearing out your skin and your body is doing exactly that through a spot.  I now swear by this product and it certainly doesn’t break the bank, which is amazing.

Soap & Glory – Sugar Crush Hand Food

I use hand cream religiously every night and I have always switched between l’occitane and the Original Hand Food from Soap & Glory. A few months ago I picked up the Sugar Crush version of Hand Food and it sat in my beauty box until a few weeks ago when I decided to give it a try. I have really been enjoying this hand cream. I love the smell of it, it would have been amazing to use during the summer as it smells of freshly squeezed limes. It has the same formulation as the original Hand Food, which is quite thick but sinks into our hands within a minute. I really don’t like greasy hand creams and this doesn’t leave any residue just soft nourished hands.

Hair care

Tresemme Runway collection Make Waves Creation Hairspray

When I got my hair cut into a long bob I decided it would go and buy some new hair products to help style shorter hair. I have quite fine, soft hair so curling my hair never works because after a few hours the curls have all dropped. I also struggle with getting volume into my hair. One of the products I purchase was a light weight hairspray to help curls hold there shape. I am now obsessed with this, I use it every time I curl my hair and it has made a massive difference. If  I want curls to last last all day but with a bit of drop I spray this all over the curls and they will stay. To have a perfect hairstyle all day I would need to use a stronger hairspray. I love how build-able this product is and it doesn’t leave your hair feeling crunchy, which I really hate. This hairspray also doesn’t smell too bad either, which is always a bonus.

So there are my September favourites. Let me know what products you have been loving too. I am going to try and do a favourites every month, depends on if I have enough items or not. I have also just uploaded Our Little Honeymoon Vlog so if you want to see where we went, sneak peek we saw dolphins, then why not go take a look.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and see you again on friday

Favourite Things about Autumn

If you can’t already tell, this blog post might make it clearer, Autumn (along with Winter) is my favourite season. There are so many things I love that I thought I would share a few with you.

One of favourite parts of Autumn has to be my Birthday, and it’s made even more special as it’s the same month as my Husband Birthday and our dating anniversary, so it’s turned into a month of celebrations, which I love.

Crisp Cold Morning

I love waking up to a cold crisp morning, there’s something so refreshing about them. Crisp cold mornings all tend to have a blue sky, which will immediately make my day and also makes everything look so pretty.

Wrapping up warm for a long walk

Wrapping up in my favourite coat and huge scarf then venturing out into the cold is one of my favourite feelings. I make myself into a little cocoon that not even the cold can enter, until I overheat, which tends to happen a lot. My parents use to always take us on long walks, especially around Christmas, and I remember loving getting home from a cold walk and warming up by a log fire, it’s the best feeling in the world. I still go on long walks occasionally with my family but more often with my Husband, which is lovely. I always take my camera on long walks so it tends to turn into a fashion shoot, opps!

When I see the first conker on the ground, Autumn for me has arrived. Ever since I was a small kid I remember stuffing my pockets full of smooth, shiny conkers and I still do it to this day. My mum use to put all our conkers in glass vases and put them on the windowsill and from then on conkers have always been a symbol of Autumn and I love them.

Cosy Night in

One of my favourite things to do, when its cold and dark out, is to make our flat really cosy and snuggly. My perfect cosy night starts with lighting a Candle, with my current favourite Apple Blossom by DW. I then make myself a bubble bath, this is a great way to relax after a long hard week, I usually watch some youtube or just sit back and relax. After my bath I will get into a cosy pair of Pyjamas and then snuggle up on the sofa with my husband and watch a movie. I would easily take a cosy night in over a night out, maybe I’m a little old lady at heart but I love it.

Lighting my Favourite Candles

As i mentioned above I love lighting candles as they are a great way to completely change the mood in your home and they make it smell incredible. There is something so comforting and mesmerising about watching a flame, maybe thats why I get so excited about a log fire in the Winter months. I will usually burn candles with fresh scents, I don’t like having my flat overpowered by a scent, I’d rather have a gradual smell that greets you, rather than one that knocks you off your feet. Everyone has their own preferences on candles and these are just mine.

Switching up my skincare

When Autumn comes around one of the first things I do is switch up my skincare and pull out some of my favourite hydrating products again. I find during the winter my skin can become quite dry around my forehead so this year I am going to hydrate my skin to try and prevent this.

Hopefully you enjoyed reading about my favourite parts of Autumn. I would love to know what you love doing  with the nights drawing in and days getting colder.

I have also just uploaded a video to my youtube channel Our Little Honeymoon, so if you are interested in seeing where we went on our honeymoon then why not go take a look and subscribe.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and have a lovely weekend!

September Makeup Loves

I love switching up my makeup when Autumn arrives. I tend to reach for darker lips and more of a warm, smoky eye, whilst still keeping a natural base. I have discovered some new brands and makeup products recently, so it’s also a bit of a first impressions for a few of these product. So go grab a cuppa and enjoy.

Makeup Revolution London – Beyond Flawless Ultra Eyeshadows

I love experimenting with new eye looks and this palette is my favourite. Now that Autumn is upon us I have moved away from the corals & pinks and tend to wear more bronze & brown tones, which I am currently loving. Wearing brown eye shadow bring out the blue in my eyes. I love how pigmented these eyeshadows are and how easy they are to blend. It’s so easy to create a soft day time look, right through to a dramatic smokey evening eye all from one palette, which is one of the reasons I bough this last year. I love all the colours in this palette and they are perfect for the Autumn/Winter months.

Bobbi Brown – Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Dusty Mauve

Next onto something very different for me. I have always been a powder eyeshadow girl, I have never really been interested in a cream shadow stick until now. I love how pigmented this shadow stick is and how easy it is to blend, allowing you to create a really soft subtle look. I love using this as a base on my eyes and then adding a darker powder eyeshadow onto to help define the crease of my eye. This colour is the perfect taupe/brown that adds some warmth to your eye and isn’t too overpowering in colour.

Bobbi Brown – Art Stick Liquid Lip in English Rose

I love wearing a matt lip in Autumn, whilst keeping the rest of my makeup quite dewey and my base very natural. I recently discovered this liquid lip by Bobbi Brown and was so surprised how much I like it. I find that a lot of liquid lips, that dry down matt, can be very drying where as this one isn’t. I am in love with this rosy red shade, it allows for a bold lip without having to go for a very strong burgundy red lip. The only problem I have with this product is the application. You basically squeeze the tube and the product comes out though a hole in the top, which means applying it is quite difficult. I would recommend either applying it with your finger or even a lip brush.

Max factor Colour – Elixir Lipstick in Mulberry 685

My final autumnal love is a lipstick by Max Factor, which I just can’t get enough off. I love wearing a red lip in the winter and this one is just gorgeous. This colour is more of a deep burgundy red with a shot of shimmer through it, which make it a real statement look. I love wearing a natural base and a subtly eye and then let this lipstick talk for itself. This lipstick has a slight shine too it but not as much as a gloss would have. I find the Max Factor Elixir lipsticks are so comfortable to wear all day and don’t stain you lips, which is a massive plus. This lipstick is well worth taking a look at if you are on the hunt for a stunning deep red.

Let me know what your new key pieces in your makeup bag are now that Autumn is upon us. I’m still on the hunt for a more wine coloured lipstick so let me know if you have any recommendations.

I have also just uploaded a Morning Skincare Routine video to my youtube channel, so if you interested in seeing what I am currently using then why not go give it a watch and subscribe.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and have a lovely weekend!

Autumn Body Care Products

Autumn is now officially here and I’m so excited !! Once Autumn has arrived I end up switching my body care product for ones that are more hydrating so I thought I would show you what I am now using.

Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Body Wash

I love Molton Brown body washes and this is defiantly my favourite. I love using really fresh and fruity scents during the Spring / Summer but once Autumn arrives I love cosy and slight deeper scents. This body wash has a lovely kick, with it’s top notes being Fiery Pink Pepper, but it also lovely comforting scent at the same time. I love that once I have washed it off you an still subtly smell it on your skin. This  body wash is also great for baths if you want to cocoon yourself in a gorgeous sent and have lots of bubbles too. Molton Brown over all is a gret brand for bath and shower products, there scents are to die for

Loccitane Ultra Rich Shower Cream

This is the ideal show product for someone who needs something a but more moisturising and how has sensitive skin, as it doesn’t have much of a scent.  This product contain shea butter, which is brilliant at hydrating your skin and it also a natural ingredient too. When I want to really unwind in the shower and feel cosy I will always use this product. It feels so creamy on your body, compared to a bubbly body wash, and leaved my skin feeling so soft and moisturised. I love that you can get away with not moisturising after your shower, but I still do especially as I actually got a decent tan this year (finally!)

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish

I love using a body scrub every few weeks, as it’s a great way to get rid of the dead skin cells, and make your skin feel incredibly soft. My skin usually doesn’t get too dry so I can get away with quite a gentle body polish and this one from Soap & Glory is perfect. I really like the way this scrub has small granule of sugar, which dissolve as you rub is on your skin. This body polish is pack full with sea salt, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder and shea butter making it amazing for your skin and smell incredible. If you want something more intense then look at maybe a body scrub rather than a body polish.

Champneys Summer Dream Lotion

Finally onto my current favourite body lotion. Moisturising after a shower or bath is so really important, as it locks moisture into your skin, which you really need when the colder weather starts setting in. During the winter I will always use a body butter, with my favourite ones from The Body Shop and Sanctuary, but during the autumn month I tend to still use a body lotion. My currently favourite is one by Champneys, it’s quite a summery scent but I just love it. I really like that this body lotion is quite thick and sinks into my skin really quickly, I hate having greasy skin after moisturising. I love waking up in the morning to smooth arms and legs knowing that my skin won’t feel irritated by the cold weather.

Let me know what you Autumn body care must haves are, I would love to know. I have also just uploaded a Morning Skincare Routine video to my youtube channel, so if you interested in seeing what I am currently using then why not go give it a watch and subscribe.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and have a lovely weekend!

There are always new beauty releases that I sometimes go pick up as a little treat for myself.

Summer in a Bottle

I decided to test out Zoella’s new range over the past few weeks and I have been absolutely loving it. There are three products I picked up, which all featured in my London Beauty Haul, and I have really been enjoying despite the weather getting colder.

Gelat’Eau Body Mist

I absolutely love this body spray, it such a gorgeous scent that literally lasts the whole day. I usually wear perfume but decided to give Zoella’s body mist ago and I was not disappointed. I love how delicate and not too overpowering the scent is, I was a little bit worried it was going to be too sweet but it’s really not. This body spray completely reminds me of summer with the fresh scent of Elderflower with a twist of sweetness from the double cream. It’s so nice to just spritz it on before leaving the house and know you smell amazing. Can we also just appreciate the packaging for one minute, it’s so cute.

Shower Sauce Body Wash

I was really intrigued to try out this shower sauce as I love using body washes that smell amazing. I absolutely love the name of this body wash, it sounds good enough to eat and smells like it too. I really like how thick this body wash is and when you lather it up it become really bubbly, which I adore. It’s such a cute pink colour too, with lovely packaging designed for Instagram. I am really loving using this product, even though it is now autumn.

Pink Bath Wafers Mositursing Bath Fizzer

I absolutely love having a bath after a long week of work and there is something so nice about having a bath bomb or bath fizzer to make it special, so I was really excited to try this one out. I love how moisturising this bath fizzer is, when I get out of the bath, my body feels soft whereas some bath fizzer’s can dry out my skin. I also love that this bath fizzer has a subtle scent compared to the other products, meaning you could add in other products without the smell being over powering. I would suggest putting this bath wafer in the water when you start running your bath as it does take a long time to fully dissolve, but you are certainly left with a beautiful smelling bath.

I love the way Zoella has managed to recreate the same scent for all three product I have tried out, a lot of companies struggle with this. Let me know what you favourite products are from Zoella’s new range.

If you haven’t already seen my Autumn Homeware Haul head on over to my youtube channel and check it out. Have a lovely weekend.

Autumnal Home Inspiration

When the seasons change, I love going onto Pinterest and getting some interiors inspiration. It already feels like Autumn is here, with the leaves turning red and conkers already falling, I thought it was time to get some Interiors inspiration and share it with you all. I am going to focus on two rooms, the Living Room and the Bedroom, as these are where people spend most of there time in. You can easily inject a bit of autumn homeware to really change the look and feel of your home.

Living Room

Autumn is when the nights start drawing in and the days get colder so the interiors become more cosy, with blankets, open fires and candles. I always spend a lot of time in our Living Room during Autumn/Winter with a candle burning snuggled up under a blanket watching my favourite movie. It’s really easy to get carried away and buy lots of new homeware pieces for each season, but you don’t have to. To really make your living room feel cosy and Autumnal look at purchasing maybe a few pillows, a blanket / throw and maybe a few candles to make your house smell amazing. Colour wise burnt orange, crimson, tartan and greys will really bring that Autumnal feel into your home. Faux Fur throw or pillows are also a lovely way to make your living room feel really cosy and inviting.

The Bedroom is another key area of the house that you will spend quite a bit of time in and it’s important you feel relaxed in it. Bedding is the easiest way to completely change the mood in your bedroom. Why not purchase some autumnal bedding, it could be a very subtle print but it will completely change the feel and atmosphere in the room. Knitted throws are very in this year, especially very chunky knits. If you are planning on buying a knitted blanket then you could look at buying one in cream or grey, this means you can then use it all year round instead of it being just a seasonal piece in your home. I also love dotting a few candles in our bedroom as they are perfect for lighting in the evening and fill your room with an amazing scent.

If you are still wanting more Autumnal Interior inspiration then head over to Pinterest, that is where these pictures are all from. I love using Pinterest as you can make your own mood boards with all your favourite photos, refer back to them and share them with friends. What’s your favourite homeware piece this autumn?

Have a lovely rest of your week.
