When it comes to personalizing my home I am in my element. I love going to home shops, finding unique and interesting pieces that I can incorporate into my home. One shop I love for home items is Home Sense as they have some amazing items at a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend you checking them out.

So I decided to make a blog post on my items for coffee tables. I like to keep it nice a simple and like to change the layout and books ever so often to keep it looking fresh and exciting. One thing I love to have around my house, but especially in the sitting room, are freshly cut flowers. I love the way flowers brighten up any room and at the moment the smell of these roses is beautiful. These rose are a lovely deep red and are a lovely contrast with my wooden table, making them a statement piece in my little set up. The next item I love to have is a candle, this one is from next. I always have  a candle burning, as it really makes a room feel lovely and cosy. At the moment I am burning summery candle and have just unloaded a blog post of My Top 5 Summer Candles , so check that out if you want to know what I currently love burning.

So moving onto my coffee table books. There are currently three books that I love reading through in the evenings at the moment.

Tanya Burr: Tanya Bakes

Louise Parker: The Louise Parker Method: Lean for Life

Kelly Hoppen: Kelly Hoppen Design Masterclass

I am currently obsessed with Tanya’s new book Tanya Bakes and I have already made two of her cakes and have loved them both. I find her recipes really easy and simple to follow and the finished result are just like the one in the photos. The pictures in this book are mouth-watering and I think this book will be used a huge amount as I love nearly ever recipes in it. If you are looking for an amazing baking cook book than check Tanya Bakes out, you wont be disappointed.

My next book I am loving is the Lean for Life book by Louise Parker. I only brought this book recently, as I love working out and keeping myself healthy and fit. This book is based around how to transform your life and lifestyle and be able to sustain those your achieved results. This book is full of advise, recipes, workout exercises but also goes into how your metal state of mind effects for physical self. I find this book so interesting to sit down and read in the evening and would recommend it to anyone who want to transform their body and lifestyle for the best. Definitely worth checking out.

Finally the last book I have on my coffee table is Design Masterclass by Kelly Hoppen. As you may know I am an Interior Design and absolutely love residential design. This book is full of tips and tricks on all aspect of home decoration and design. I love the way this book is clearly layout out and really easy to follow and recreate in your own home, no matter what your budget is. Kelly Hoppen has been in the Interior Design industry since the age of 16 so she has picked up a lot of trade secrets but also expert knowledge, which she share in this book. Another aspect of this book I love is the photographs and I could look at them all day long.

So there you go, that’s what I currently love to have on my coffee table. If you would like a full review on any of the books above than comment bellow. Hope you enjoyed this blog post, leave a like if you did.

Thanks you. The decoration of you sitting room will be dependent on the amount of space you have and what look you are going for. I am currently moving into my new flat and have quite a small sitting room so I am buying white/neutral coloured furniture, as it lighten the space and makes the room look more spacious. By having neutral furniture you can also then incorporate splashes of colour through cushions, wall art and other accessorise and these can be changed as year go by. If you have a larger sitting room then you have more room to play around with layouts, sizes of furniture but also colours. You could get away with having a statement piece of furniture with other more subtle piece of furniture surrounding it.

I hope that helped you, if you need anymore questions then please ask. I am planning on doing a few blog posts on furniture I have purchased for my new flat and how I have organised the space so keep an eye out for those. If there is anything else you want me to blog then let me know.
